Programming/setting-up​
Transporting​
Repairing/servicing​
Modifying​
Cleaning

What is Required of the Equipment?

Answer 3

Suitable for the intended use​
Safe for use​
Maintained in a safe condition​
Used only by people who have received adequate information, instruction and training​
Accompanied by suitable Health and Safety measures​
Inspected to ensure it is in adequate condition

Question 4

When should work equipment be inspected?

Answer 4

Inspection of work equipment is needed to follow the regulations. These inspections should be carried out when;​

The equipment is at a new location​
After the equipment has been exposed to deteriorating conditions ​
After installation but before the equipment is in service​
Suitable intervals that is liable to jeopardise safety.​
(All of these inspections must be documented.)

What does PUWER require on equipment?

CE mark​
A Declaration of Conformity ​
English instructions​
And be free from obvious defects – and that it remains so during its working life​
