Q

PV = nRT Calculation Example

A

At what temperature will 0.654 moles of neon gas occupy 12.30dm^3 at 197 kPa?

197 kPa -> 197000 Pa

12.30dm^3 -> 0.01230 m^3

PV = nRT -> PV / nR = T

(197000 x 0.0123) / (0.654 x 8.314) = 446

446 K
