Why do you want to work at Waitrose ?
Well I heard that Waitrose is one of the best supermarkets to work for and that they provide really good products, really good customer service as well as being very supportive in training new and youthful employees, I’d also just like a bit of a new challenge after working in hospitality for over 2 years now
Why did you choose Waitrose ?
Well me and my family do shop from here a lot as we really like the quality of the products they give here, I’m also a very reliable person as I always travel really far to work with making it on time, I live very close to this branch so regardless I would have no problem on getting here
What skills can you bring to the team ?
Well I’m definitely competent in stocking anything necessary as that is part of what I do at my current workplace as well as co-operating with my colleagues with helping each other out on difficult situations, I would often do the same with speaking to different customers and helping them out, that often being looking for something and needing help with it and I would like to continue being able to support customers that way in a different work environment
Give an example of when you co-operated as a team
Sometimes on really busy nights some of my colleagues would struggle in handling one section by themselves so I’d temporarily assist them by coming over to work together on preparing bigger tables that need to be finished in a short amount of time
Give an example of when you provided good customer service
A lot of the time customers struggle about how ordering drinks works and if they are allowed to order from the table so I explain to them that if their table has at least 10 people they can order from the bar but if they have less than that then they can only order from their table
How available are you to work ?
Any day of the week, especially on the weekends, I can easily flex my hours at Cosmo as I am on a zero hour contract therefore I don’t work as many hours over there
Give an example of a significant change you had to adapt to in the past
A while ago we divided the tables into different placements which subsequently lead to a lot of the table numbers changing, so being a drinks runner I had to memorise the new layout to make sure I didn’t serve the wrong table, I suppose that different iles sometimes change and you’d have to memorise the new layout of that too
How would you solve a problem ?
If the problem isn’t too difficult for me to understand I would handle it myself as quick as possible but if the problem is too much for me then I would ask a colleague or supervisor for help for a better understanding
