Q

Describe percent concentration

A
  • Amount of solute in a total volume of 100 mL of solution (solute/solution)
    • Solid = grams, liquid = mL
    • X parts per x = x amount per x mL

Q

What are dilutions?

State the dilution factor

A
  • Making more concentrated solutions less concentrated by adding more solvent
    • Dilution factor: final volume/original volume
    • Ex., dilution factor of 10 = 10% –> 1% (10 fold, final volume is 10x original)
