- the objective is to promote their unique qualities that they can bring to their class and to talk about their heritage and what Asian awareness means to them
- NM’s create collages to share more about themselves to the house and their line

Unique & Shared
- the objective is to promote unity. this activity will allow the NM to realize that they have more in common than they first might realize. The awareness of their own unique characteristics is beneficial in that the NM can feel empowered to offer her class something unique
- will identify traits in groups with actives and NM’s that everyone has in common and that are unique

Candy Icebreaker
- the objective is to give everyone he opportunity to share something about themselves so that others can get a better idea of who that individual really is
- Each different candy will correspond to a different question. The individual will answer the question and will share stories about their lives.

Listen to my Words
- The objective is to practice and improve critical listening. Detail is key
- NME or President will read instructions while new members perform the tasks, on the paper, described to them with their eyes closed.

Alphabet Race
- The objective is to stress the importance of working together as a class and to listen carefully to directions
- NMs will recite the alphabet as a class in under 15 seconds. They are not allowed to speak to each other and must only recite the Greek alphabet.

Process Calendar
- The objective is time management
- As a take home assignment, NMs must create a process calendar that must include all their NMP dates, major academic projects/exams, as well as their extracurriculars. This will be presented at EE.

Map Activity
- The objective is to reinforce the importance of knowing where our chapters are located and to realize that our sisterhood is everywhere
- NMs can use whichever resources they need (even the internet, but only if they ask). They will review a map and list the name of the chapters according to the number.

Traffic Jam
- The objective is to stimulate thought about how to solve an issue at hand and to listen to everyone’s ideas, while strategizing for a solution
- Must be done with an even number of people and a minimum of six. NMs will work together to create a method to move one group to the other group’s location.

Alumnae Presentations
- The objective is to get to know the alumnae they have interviewed on a personal/professional level.
- NMs were to have interviewed an alumnae. This is where they present to the actives, their fellow line sisters, and the alumnae what they have learned from interviewing said alum.
- NMs and Actives are to wear business casual attire.

Something I Admire
- The objective is to understand and identify the importance of each individual’s contribution to the class.
- Actives, NMs, and Alum are to sit in a circle. A bag is passed around to the Active sisters with all the actives’ name in it. A sister will draw a name out of the bag and share a quality about that sister and what contributions they have made to the chapter that are unique. NMs then do the same within the members of their class.

Leadership Compass
- The objective is for the NMs to realize and appreciate each other’s work styles and realize the need for variety in work styles to make our organization function.
- NMs learn about their own leadership skills and abilities as well as how to best develop their leadership capabilities. Actives will read the different characteristics of the leadership styles and decide for themselves which one best describes them and stand at that compass direction.

Sisterhood Roundtable
- The objective is to provide NM with a venue for open discussion in which they can build trust that they can talk to each other about anything, This should help encourage the NM that their line sisters believe in them and they can handle whatever is given to them. Also, the final comment of their NME should help bond the girls closer together and to help them realize they work better together than they do individually
- Actives need not be present. This is to facilitate discussion amongst the NM and encourage them to be open and honest about their feelings.

Who was my Guide?
- The objective is to emphasize the importance of trust in the Actives
- An active will guide around a NM who has their eyes closed. NMs must learn to trust their guide as well take nonverbal cues from the guiding Active so that the NM may try and figure out who their guide is.

Why I Serve
- The objective is to Teach the Sorority History of/and Concepts of Philanthropy and Service
- VP Service will teach the NMs about BCA and Avon. They will
- – Recite a quote from Jasmine Tso
- – Explain our exclusive partnership with Avon Breast Cancer Crusade
- – Let them know about our BCA Day, October 25th
- – Tell them how we donate $1/day in October
- Actives are to participate in discussing about our service/projects
- There is to be discussion questions for new members to reflect on why we serve
