How is power shown

A

“Picking scraps with big guys” - figurative language to show his aggression as of his authority over others. Curley wants to be a boxer but lacks physical strength so he uses his social power to abuse his position in society.
“You seen what they did to my dog tonight?”- pathos to show candy has no power and how his dog is seen as useless and a liability to society so is killed foreshadowing what they will do to candy when he can no longer work
