Q

What is Pirate radio?

A

Stations that didn’t have the correct licence to broadcast. They broadcast from ships in the middle of the sea because laws didn’t affect them there. Pirate Radio stations used to play the current pop music all day. This is what young people wanted to listen to but couldn’t get on BBC stations.
