Q

What was St Thomas Aquinas’s Analogy ?

A

St Thomas Aquinas’s Analogy is that “As an arrow reaches it’s target directed because it is directed by an archer, what lacks intelligence achieves goals by being directed by something intelligent”.

-The second way is that the order in nature seem to be beneficial.

17
Q

What was St Thomas Aquinas 5th way about ?

A

St Thomas Aquinas 5th way was about the “governance of things”.

A

-Natural Disasters, Earthquakes, Science, Genetic Disease, Element of evolution, Predicting the weather.

19
Q

What does William Paley’s Argument look at ?

A

William Paley Argument looks at design in relation to the ways in which the parts of the universe appear to fit together for some greater purpose.
He compared the universe as a man-made machine of some kind, which a designer fits all the parts together with a specific function in mind.
Many scientists began to see the earth as a “machine” with all the parts working together like “clockwork”.
