What is Ready?
Ready is a rigorous instruction and practice program that fully prepares students for the Georgia Standards of Excellence in a highly supportive way. It’s an out-of-the box solution that teachers can start using right away, because it provides them with step-by-step, point-of-use professional development to help them teach the standards most effectively.
Why is the Ready Reading Program effective?
The Ready Reading program addresses close reading of complex, authentic text from a wide range of genres while supporting students with a proven-effective, gradual-release instructional model that builds confidence. It also provides point-of-use professional development for teachers to help them teach the ELA Georgia Standards of Excellence most effectively.
What resources are in Ready Reading?
For K-1, resources included Student Instruction Book, 9 Trade Books, Teacher Resource Book, and Online Teacher Resource Tool Box.
For 2-8, the difference is that there are not tradebooks. Rather, there is a Student Assessment Book.
