Part One: Welcome Candidate

A
  • Outline what you are going to do and in what order
  • Give them a sense of how much time you have for your meeting
  • Tell them a lil bit about CC and your background

Part 2: Review Basic Work Preferences and References

A
  • Location, geography, commuting preferences/public transit accessible?
  • Availability: FL or FT or both. Offsite/Onsite. When can they start. Do they need to give notice.
  • Laptop, MAC/PC
  • Rates: Start with History/Current and then ask about Desired. Drill down to find out what the MINIMUM would be
  • References: Make sure references are aware that we are calling them and that 2 are supervisory

Part 3: Candidate Placement Agreement

  • If candidate did not sign the agreement electronically, please bring a paper copy to interview
  • Explain that our agreement is Non-Exclusive
  • Explain the basic 12 mo working agreement
  • Explain that IF booked through CC, they are our employee and that is at an at will basis
  • Explain the confidentiality agreement

  • Briefly highlight some of the employee benefits candidates can receive IF placed on assignments through CC: Online timecards, weekly paychecks, insurance benefits etc.
  • Give candidate appropriate benefit info sheets

  • Review Resume for any major gaps
  • Have candidate give you a brief overview of their employment history for the past 3-5 years
  • Show favorite pieces in portfolio and have them break it down

  • Describe the team and your level of interaction at this assignment

  • What kinds of challenges did you need to overcome to create this
  • What software/technical skills did you use for particular pieces
  • What feedback/results did you get

Part 6: The Skills + Evals

  • Review the skills portion of the Candidate Profile
  • Explain how what we selected helps us market them
  • Make any necessary to reflect candidates real abilities (have done not can do)
  • For Technologies as the candidate to rate each other so that they have selected on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being completely proficient.
  • Explain that we will follow up with software/technology evals
  • 2-3 evals that would be most appropriate to send

Part 7: The Pitch Sheet

  • Explain the pitch sheet
  • We do not want to double up on the candidates own efforts
  • Clarify specifics and timeline of any companies they listed
  • ask about other places they may have contacted that they didn’t list.

Part 8: Set Expectations

A
  • Explain how we work to bring opportunities to candidates: proactively (Talent Update if applicable), and reactively (sending job opportunity emails
  • Walk candidate through how they should respond to Job Opportunity emails and how we will communicate with them moving forward
  • Remind them it is a team effort– they may hear from a variety of CC Contacts and jobs and we all work as a team
  • Remind them of their commitments to you such as getting you a CC copy of their resume, updating portfolio, and reaching out to references
