Cross (2)
symbol of christ’s victory over death as he’s risen
anthropomorphization
Relationship between free will and sin (7)
God created everything perfect
he gave free will to humans to actively seek God
However people used this free will to sin
The catholic church teaches that all people have a tendency to sin due to our original sin
this then acts as a barrier between God and humanity
so christ came and had victory over sin which has restored our relationship with God
Jesus resurrection helped restore the harmony of creation
Significance of Jesus death(2)
redeemed humanity, victory over sin, etc
For Christians, the most important part of his death is that he continued to show love even when he was suffering “please forgive them for they do not know what they do
Significance of the resurrection (2)
he made life after death possible
all those who had died before him rose to heaven with him
significance of the ascension (3)

just before he left he promised to send his spirit to all people to continue to work in and through hid believers
and gives belivers faith that they can go to heaven
Salvation in the past (3)
Jesus death and resurrection were important for humanities salvation
these events defeated sin and death made it possible for life after death
some Christians believe that Jesus death and resurrection is all that is needed for salvation to be complete
Salvation in the present (4)
Salvation is an ongoing process
while Jesus defeated the ultimate sin, sin still exists in humanity
some Catholics believe that while Jesus death and resurrection offered salvation we still need to accept it by resisting temptation and accepting forgiveness
holy spirit guides people to work towards salvation
Salvation in the future (3)
Salvation will be completed at the end of time
when the KOG has fully established the power of death and sin will be fully destroyed,
all believers will one day be able to share in Gods glory for all eternity
