Registration Effective and expiration dates

When does an application for registration become effective?

At Noon (12:00pm) , 30 days after it is filed. However the Administrator may set an earlier effective date.

What happens if the original application needs to be amended

Answer 2

Administrator may postpone the effective date to 30 days following the filing of the amendment.

Question 3

What happens to agents or IARs of the BDs or IAs when they register?

Answer 3

If a broker-dealer or investment adviser registers, then any agent or investment adviser representative who is a partner, officer, or director of that firm is also considered registered.
