A

Confirm captains actions are as followed:

  1. Simultaneously close the thrust levers & disengage the autothrottles.
  2. Apply maximum manual wheel brakes or verify operation of RTO autobrake.
  3. Raise SPEED BRAKE lever.
  4. Apply maximum reverse thrust.

What are the FO calls during an RTO

A
  1. “SPEEDBRAKES UP” If SPEED
    BRAKE lever is UP, or
    “SPEEDBRAKES NOT UP”, if not up.

2.”REVERSERS NORMAL.”
If there is no REV indication(s) or the
indication(s) stays AMBER, call “NO
REVERSER ENGINE NUMBER 1”,
or “NO REVERSER ENGINE
NUMBER 2”, or “NO REVERSERS”.
Call out omitted action items.

  1. Call out 60 kts to captain.
  2. Call “STOPPING” to control tower passing 60 kts.

  2. Autothrottles disengaged.
  3. Maximum brakes applied.
  4. Verify SPEED BRAKE lever UP and
