Q

what are the differences in sexual selection between men and women?

A

Men suffer less to reproduction as they have millions of sperm. so they can impregnate anyone if they want as they will never run out of sperm in their lives.

where as women, are more picky with who they choose to have a child with as they suffer more, the amount of eggs they are born with is the amount they will have for the rest of their lives, hence why they tend to be choosy in choosing the right man who is comitted and has many resources

this can be used as an evaluation point

A

they conducted a study on differences in reproductive behaviour between men and women.
attractive male and female experimenters went aroud the campus and asked three questions

Q

low quality man <3

how does Clark and Hatfields research support evloutionary perspectives of partner preferences

evaluation explanation

A

Due to anisogamy, men chose to take the quantity over quality approach and agree to sex as they dont have much to lose where as the women took the quality over quantity approach as to why they didnt agree to sex. they wanted to have sex with the right person and not ‘waste an egg’ on a poor quality man

Q

TAYLOR SWIFT

counterargument for Clark and Hatfields research

A

The study was conducted in 1989 where it was frowned upon for women to be promiscuous so it therefore lacks temporal validity
