Identity
your name and appearance are your identity but they don’t define who you are. - mixed with the most important things to you.
Self-esteem
An awareness of our self-worth, the way we see and think about ourselves.
Self-understanding
Self-awareness of one’s own attitudes, motives, defenses, reactions, weaknesses, and strengths. Helps determine who we are.
Encyclicals
ideas/advice given by the pope. They are official pastoral letters written by the pope for all people. shed light on certain issues.
Trust
firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. - relies on the ability of give-and-take.
Reciprocity
give-and-take the expectation that help with be returned.
Intimacy
closeness in a relationship
Friendships
stage 1 and 2 are casual acquaintances, 4 and 5 are close friends and 6 are bf/gf/spouse.
Servant leader
Demonstrate respect and dignity and present in lives/act out of love not pity. always in service to others and work for the common good. they lead by example.

- they have a vision for the community: expressed through beliefs
- they provide a direct service to others in the community - compassion.

Infatuation
needs others to feel important, jealous, and quick, begins to function worse in other areas of life when in a relationship, one gets more out of the relationship.
Healthy relationship characteristics
Mutual respect, trust, honesty, compassion, individual, communication and confidence.
unhealthy relationship characteristics
on has more control, hostility, dishonesty, disrespect, intimidation, violence, etc.
CST defined
based on the belief that God has a plan for creation and building his kingdom. - a message that our faith is profoundly social

social media & self-esteem
Comments and mental toll of social media. It’s the fact that people suffer heartbreak, bullying, and rude comments when they put themselves on social media. Due to issues with people’s mental health, there are even suicides.
Social Justice
-Commutative justice is the responsibility of individual to individual
- Distributive justice is the responsibility of society to an individual
- Contributive justice is the responsibility of the individual to society
