What is the difference between Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims?
Sunnis:
*believe that Abu Baker, who was the father of Muhammad’s wife Aisha, was the rightful successor of Muhammad.
*the method of choosing or electing leaders should not necessarily be hereditary.
SHIA
*Believe Muhammad wanted his cousin and son-in-law Imam Ali in accordance with the command of Allah to be the next caliph.

A King who died in 814. He ruled as Emperor of the Romans’ for 13 years.

(In total, he was King or Emperor starting in 768 and ending in 814)
What were the Crusades?
A series of religious wars sanctioned by the Latin Church in the medieval period. They were ordered by Popes who teamed up with Charlemagne to try to make everyone Christian.
What is the Hadith?
A book that was written by Muslim scholars after Muhammad’s death.
How fast did Islam spread?
Wicked fast. Quickly.
What was/is the Holy book for Muslims?
The Quran.

- For example, a century would be from 900-999.
