Q

What is remote access?

A

It enables you to work and access your data from anywhere in the world. Remote access has numerous benefits for both individuals and businesses. As discussed earlier, it is especially useful for troubleshooting IT issues, but it also increases productivity, and enhances collaboration among teams working from different locations. What is Remote Access Services (RAS) or Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS)?

A

A Microsoft technology that allows dialing into a network from a remote location. It allows remote users to establish a secure connection to the network over a phone line or the internet. RAS is a predecessor of Routing and Remote Access Service, or RRAS. This built-in Windows operating system tool enables remote access and routing services. It can be used to create a VPN server as well as dial up, and wireless networking connections. RRAS also supports several authentication methods.
