Northern Italy in Upper Central Italy. It would help bc they are in the Alps and the mountains would give protection.

The Renaissance was the rebirth of classical civilizations. It was from the 14th- early 17th century.
What were the Classical Civilizations?
the rebirth of the art, architecture, and literature specifically from Ancient Greece and Rome.
What was is the Renaissance Worldview?
that humans should embrace their achievements.
What was the importance of trade in Renaissance Italy?
trade was very important because Italy did not have many natural resources.
How did the physical geography of Renaissance Europe affect trade?
Trade could have been more difficult bc of the terrain and limited transportation options.
How did increased trade lead to the emergence of powerful city-states?
As trade increased in Europe, these cities also asserted their independence by becoming major hubs of trade and commerce
