- Lie on the posterior surface of the urinary bladder
- Secrete about 60% of the volume of semen
- Fluid contains:
- fructose to nourish sperm
- substances to enhance sperm motility
- prostaglandins
- immunosuppressant substances (to stop the ladies immune response)
- enzymes that clot and then liquify the semen
