• Trickle-down economics - abandoned demand-side in favour of supply-side
• Reduction of state intervention in states, defederalization.
• Major tax cuts + reductions in public spending - Omnibus Reconciliation Act, cut spending on 300 programmes
• Messed up medicare and medicaid for giggles, as well as cutting food stamps. Also ‘Workfare’, had to do community service for family support payments
• Deregulated air traffic control, led to protests - broke the strike, fired the workers and hired non-union workers for the roles
• Crtiticised Carter for amassing a huge debt, then promptly spent stupid amounts on defence, most during peacetime ever
• Gramm-Rudman Act trying to not be so in debt, wasn’t all that succesful
