Q

Significance of the end of play

A

-Death appears tragically in vain,as a result of his death Linda is left in grief and neither Happy nor biff are helped
-Death was due to failure of recognising his own mental instability
-End of a play appears largely pessimistic, some sense of catharsis offered regarding Willy’s character and freedom from his incessant torture of unfufiled dreams, however offers no resolution for family’s problems and Happy appears to be following in his own father’s footsteps
