1
Q
Reliability
A
Referfs to the consistency of a measure. A measure is considered reliable if we get the same results repeatedly. A research method is considered reliable if we can repeat it and get similar results
2
Q
Validity
A
If a test is valid then it measures what it claims to measure. IT could be that its measuring behaviour as it happens naturally in real life (ecological validity)
3
Q
AO3 of Case Study
A
- One strength of case studies is they can create opportunities for a rich yeild of data, and the depth of analysis can in turn being high levels of validity (ie providing an accurate and exhaustive measure of what the study is hoping to measure).
- One weakness - Due to the small sample size, it is unlikely that findings from a case study alone can be generalised to a whole population.
