What do respiratory Therapists do?
They help people breathe who have trouble breathing on their own
What education level is required to be a respiratory therapist?
Bachelors in respiratory therapy
What does auscultation mean?
Take a stethoscope and listen to the sounds of the body
What does ABG stand for?
Arterial blood gas
What is COPD? What is the primary cause of COPD?
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, smoking is the primary cause
What is anesthesia?
A drug that produces a partial or total loss of physical sensation
What is a bronchodilator?
Drugs which relax smooth muscles in the lungs to assist in ventilation
What is cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)?
Emergency life support consisting of mechanical ventilation via mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-bag resuscitation and chest compressions to circulate blood through the body

Skin and hair fragments shed by humans and other animals
What are dust mites?
Microscopic organisms that feed on human and animal dander
