Q

Resuscitation Guidelines
Good Quality Compressions
4 factors

A
  • 100 per minute
  • depth 1/3 chest (minimum 5cm for adults)
  • rotate every 2 minutes

Q

Resuscitation Guidelines
Correct Defib Pad Adhesion
6 factors

A
  • ensure safety (4 checks)
  • dry skin, remove sweat/moisture
  • shave hair if needed
  • ensure no creases or bubbles in adhesion
  • ensure in date and good gel
  • replace after 3 shocks, consider alternate location

Q

Resuscitation Guidelines
Resus Airway Management
5 factors

A
  • iGel placed early
  • airway management does not interrupt compression
  • once airway is in 10 breaths a minute, uninterrupted compressions
  • good BVM technique, reduction in gastric insufflation
  • low threshold for gastric decompresssion
