Review of Systems - Short Flashcards
While it is good to know and ask a detailed ROS related to a particular system when necessary in a given case, it is often impractical to ask ALL of these questions in every patient. A shortened ROS template used by most physicians is listed below. (13 cards)
General
fever, fatigue, weakness, shakes, chills
Skin
skin/hair/nail changes, itching, rashes, sores, lumps, moles
Head
h/o head trauma, headaches
Eyes
vision change, blurred vision, floaters, double vision, cataracts
Ears
difficulty hearing, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), earache
Nose
runny nose, stuffiness, epistaxis (bloody nose)
Mouth/Throat/Neck
sore throat, cold sores, toothaches, gum bleeds, lumps in the neck
Cardiac
chest pain/pressure/tightness, palpitations, dyspnea on exertion, orthopnea,
paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea, lower extremity edema
Respiratory
shortness of breath, wheeze, cough, sputum production, hemoptysis
GI
change in appetite, nausea/vomiting, heartburn, changes in bowel movement
frequency/color/consistency
Urinary
abnormal color/odor, change in frequency, dysuria
Neurologic
dizziness/vertigo, fainting/black out, weakness/paralysis
Psychiatric
anxiety/depression
