Revolt of the Northern Earls aims?
A
(1569) They wanted to overthrow Elizabeth and restore Catholicism in England.

What happened in the plot?
A
Thomas Howard (Duke of Norfolk) was arrested. Mary Queen of Scots was moved further south whilst still in Elizabeth’s captivity. Thomas Percy (Earl of Northumberland) and Charles Neville (Earl of Westmoreland) continued with the plot to overthrow Elizabeth.

How did the plot fail?
A
Elizabeth had far more men (14000) and Spain’s troops to help the rebels never came.

A
Thomas Percy was executed and Charles Neville escaped.
