A

Causes - Carried over from the 7 years war between France and Britain
Effects - Britain becomes a world power, ends Salutary Neglect in U.S., eventually leads to American Revolution because of taxation

What were the causes and effects of the French Revolution?

A

Causes - Unequal voting and taxation (1st and 2nd Estates get benefits while 3rd gets none), wealth inequality (rich were very rich, poor couldn’t even afford bread)
Effects - leads to democracy that runs rampant (Reign of Terror, then Napoleon), Unstable governments in France until Congress of Vienna

A

A

Each branch of government checks over the others (veto power, having to go through approval of multiple branches); power of government is also spread over multiple branches (judicial, legislative, executive branches)
