A
An ‘iamb’ is an I accented syllable followed by an accented one. ‘Penta’ means ‘five’ and ‘meter’ refers to a regular rhythmic pattern. It’s a kind of rhythmic pattern that consists of five iambs per line. Considered the fancy way to talk.

Cataplectic Trochaic Tetrameter

When the last syllable of the line is cut off. An accented syllable followed by an in unaccented syllable that sounds like dum-da dum-da dum-da dum-da. Shakespeare uses this for supernatural beings.
