What is Marriage?
Marriage is the legally or formally recognized union of a man and a woman.
What does the church teach about marriage?
The Church teaches that marriage is a gift from God and that marriage should be for life, until one person dies.
According to scripture, what is the purpose of marriage?
God instructed us to procreate. We’re given the responsibility to develop and foster “Godly Children”.
What are the types of Marriage?
Common Law, Polygamous and Monogamy
What is Common Law Marriage?
two people have entered into an agreement that they are married without formally going into a civil marriage or a religious marriage
What is Polygamous Marriage?
the type of marriage where you have more than one spouse
What is Monogamy Marriage?
when two people marry, you only have one spouse and that is the end of the story
Who is a parent?
Any person who, although not a natural parent, has care of a child or young person.
