Refrain vs chorus
In poetry, a refrain can act like a chorus, but they are not the same. A refrain is a short phrase or line that repeats within the verses.
A chorus is a whole section of a song that repeats, with its own melody and lyrics. Choruses are usually more memorable than refrains.
Connotation
Causes emotions; the FEELINGS that YOU associate with a word.
Denotation
Dictionary definition of a word.
