Boston Massacre
A deadly riot that occurred in 1770. Caused by rising tension against the colonist due to taxation.

1754-1761 Global conflict with France fighting the British, and eastern countries.

Ruled British 1760-1820. Help sparked American revolution. Signed Proclamation of 1763 (Native American border)
Pontiac’s war
Uprising of NA tribes due to presence of military forts and stuff. Ended in creating native border.

Attempt to end French & Indian war. Created NA boundary where colonist could not enter indigenous areas

1765 Taxation on paper documents. Colonists respond with mob violence

1765 Organization formed to oppose the Stamp act.

1765 A meeting of 9/13 American colonies held in NY City aimed to protest against British taxation.
Declaratory Act (3rd act)
1766 accompanied repeal of stamp act. The act was meant to bind laws on American colonies.
Townshend Act (4th act)
1767 Tax on glass, lead, paint, paper, tea.
Daughters of Liberty
Group of women who fought for freedom of colonist from British Parliament. Protesting against taxes and boycotting

1772 Committee persuaded by Samuel Adams for exchanging information and news.
Tea act (5th act)
1773 attempt to get Beleaguered company out of debt. Tea act made colonist sell tea at lower price to avoid smuggling.
Intolerable Acts (6th act)
1774, Act is series of punishment measures to Massachusetts colonists for defiance at Tea Party
