What act does Robbery come under?
A
Section 8 of the Theft Act 1968
Defined as committing Theft but using or threatening force before or at the time of the theft.

A
Robbery is aggravated form of theft so it’s necessary to prove theft. (Then prove theft in A02)
There’s also no requirement in D getting away with property (Corcoran v Anderton)

A
Amount of force used can be small and does not need to be directly applied to Victim but can be applied to property (R v Clouden)
OR
Threat of force must put Victim in fear of force there and then. They do not need to actually fear and the threat of force does not need to be real.
