What is a sedimentary rock?
A
Tiny particles settle on the ocean floor. Layers of sediment built up over thousands of years and then the pressure causes the layers to harden

What is metamorphic rock?
A
Formed from sedimentary rock that has come under heat and pressure.

What is the positives and negatives of limestone quarrying?
A
Positives - Jobs, local economy, makes materials
Negatives - noise pollution, traffic, damage to wildlife and animals.

How can these negatives be minimised?
A
Restricting size of quarry
Using water sprays to reduce dust
Reclamation of land when quarry closes

What is an igneous rock?
A
Molten lava cools and becomes solid. If solidified underground, it has large crystals, if solidified overground, small crystals are formed.
