  • it was created by Gobbels based on the peoples desire for strong leadership and presented Hitler as a god like figure.
  • this separated Hitler form the part and allowed him to remain popular when the Nazis began to lose support.
  • after 1936 Hitler began to believe the Hitler myth himself.

  • creating a pure Aryan master race based on the principles of social darwinism (not just jews but disabled seen as weak)

  • anti-communism linked to anti-semitism

  • there was no cabinet so there was no where for ministers to discuss policies or keep each other informed
  • time and energy was wasted as people with similar jobs competed with eachother
