Conquered Gaul at he river Rhine. He lead expeditions into Germania and Britannica. He crossed the river Rubicon. Reformed the Calendar. Fell in love with Cleopatra. He named a month in the calendar after himself.
Iulius Caeser
The man who changed the way the Army was organized. Won many famous battles with his new Army including Aquae Sextiae and Campi Raudii where he saved Italy from Barbarians of the North.
Marius
The first emperor of Rome. Real name was Octavian. He defeated Mark Antony and Cleopatra. Created a new constitution in Rome. He built new roads, aquaducts, and building.
Augustus
Known for being insane. Came to power because his mother murdered his step-father emperor Claudius. The Great Fire of Rome happened during his rule. Built himself a palace on some of the land cleared by the fire. There are rumors that he started the fire for that sole purpose.
Nero
Under his rule the empire reached it’s largest extent. Conquered the kingdom of Dacia. Known for his wisdom, dignity and humility. Set up an imperial fund to look after the poor and the children.
Trajan
First Christian emperor. Moved the capital of the empire to Byzantium and then renamed it after himself. Helped write the Nicene Creed.
Constantine the Great
Known as the last “Great” Emperor of Rome. Reconquered many parts of empire. Wrote a unified code for Romans named after himself. Built the Santa Sophia (Agya Sophia)
