because a peasant couldnβt become a nun because they were needed to badly to work on the fields.

They had three meals a day
What would nuns eat in the morning for breakfast?
They would have bread and ale
What would nuns have for lunch in midday?
beef, pork, or lamb
What would nuns have for supper? A light or heavy meal?
They would have a light meal, of normally fish.
Why might you bring a wax figure of a body part when you go on a pilgrimage
If the body part is hurting you might bring it to give to someone or leave it somewhere and you pray it gets better.
What do priests wear?
Normally, Priests wear brown robes, or, on special occasions, they would wear orange

People believed that nearly everyone went to Purgatory when they died
Why did people buy βpardonsβ
a pardon freed you from going to hell, if you had enough money you would buy one and it meant that you went straight into heaven.
What was purgatory like?
It was not quite as awful as hell, but not that great
How did you get from Purgatory to Heaven?
You had to be sorry for your sins and get people who are still alive, to pray for you
