Rule #1 - Know the Bible Flashcards

1
Q

Q: How were Bible manuscripts copied so as to encourage internalizing the message?

A

A: They had no chapters, verses or punctuation, so it was up to the reader to first internalize the information rather than rely on returning to the manuscript at a particular spot. So, when Jesus read aloud from the book of Isaiah, he was already very familiar with the content he was reading and sharing, and knew of its location in context.

Q

What has contributed to the decline of memory?

A

According to the Book, Moonwalking with Einstein: “The importance of having a good memory has only dwindled with the accessibility of memory storing tools. People don’t often work on improving their memory anymore, even though it could help them be more successful in life.”
