Q

What are the blinds?

A

They are forced bets made with chips before the cards are dealt, to create a starting pot.
- The small blind (e.g. 1 chip) is posted by the player left of the dealer.
- The big blind (e.g. 2 chips) is posted by the next player left of the small blind.

Example: If Alice is the dealer, Bob puts in 1 chip (small blind), and Carol puts in 2 chips (big blind), before anyone gets cards.
