Q

How to prove 1/5 of air is O2?

A

Place iron wool at the top of a glass jar placed inside a trough containing H2O

When the rusting of iron wool occurs is will use up all the oxygen.

Pressure inside the jar decreases and the atmospheric pressure will push water into the jar by 1/5.
