What is the actus reus?
A
Wounding or causing GBH.

What is the mens rea?
A
- D must intend to do some GBH. OR
- Resist/prevent the lawful apprehension/detaining of any person.

What did R v Taylor (2009) state?
A
Intend to wound is not enough.

What is meant by “intend”?
A
Intent must be proved - subjective recklessness is not enough.

A
