Symptoms of Salm-Enteritis
Nausea Vomiting Dizziness Headache Sore muscles Stomach cramps Thin,watery, bloody mucous diarrhoae
Therapy Salm-Enteritis
not too bad: fluid replacement.
Fever+ infections= Fluoroquinolones
(ampicillin, cephalosporins)
Pathogenesis Salm-Typhi
Latency time
first 2 weeks are symptom less.
Invastion thourgh Peyer’s patches (GALL BLADDER) M cells. -> infection macrophages -> primary bacteriaemia -> secondary bacteriaemia
Symptoms of Salm-Typhi
Fever bradycardia hepatosplenomegaly altered consciousness rose patches on stomach/ chest!! leukopenia, eosinophilla constipation (sketchy) osteomyolitis sickle cell ( sketchy)

Gruber-Widal tube agglutination (O-H antigens)
