What is salvation?
Salvation is the act of being saved from sin and its consequences, and being granted eternal life with GOd and escaping hell.
Why is salvation needed?
Because of original sin, all humans are born with a sinful nature and are separated from God, and salvation helps to fix the bond.
Give a quote to back up why salvation is needed
Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
How Do Christians Believe Salvation Happens?
Through Law, Grace, Works and the Holy Spirit.
Give evidence of Law.
Following God’s commandments and laws.

Salvation is a gift from God, not earned by good deeds.
Give evidence of works
Faith must be shown through actions.
Includes sacraments, charity, confession, etc.
“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

The Holy Spirit guides and transforms believers toward salvation.
Explain roman catholics view on salvation
Faith and good works; receive grace through sacraments (baptism, Eucharist).
Explain protestant’s view on Salvation
(e.g., Evangelical, Anglican) Salvation by grace through faith alone (“sola fide”).
Explain orthodox view on salvation
Theosis (becoming more like God); faith + works + church tradition.
Define atonement
Making amends for sin – Jesus’ death is seen as atonement.
Define grace
Free and undeserved favour from God.
define faith
Trust in God and belief in Jesus Christ.
Define sacraments
Rituals seen as means of receiving God’s grace (e.g., baptism, Eucharist).
define repentance
Sincere regret for sins and turning away from them.
Define heaven/hell
Eternal reward or punishment after death, based on salvation.
Define Redemption
Being saved from sin through Jesus’ sacrifice.
