Irony
When someone says one thing but means another.
Verbal Irony
Describes an event that’s not just surprising but actually contrary to what we expected.
Situational Irony
When we know what is in store for a character but the character does not know.
Dramatic Irony
Presents a serious subject frivolously, reducing everything to its lowest levels.
Travesty
Ridiculous exaggeration achieved though a variety of ways.
Burlesque
To imitate the techniques and/or style of some person, place, or thing in order to ridicule of original.
Parody
Exciting laughter through exaggerated, improbable situations.
Farce
Harsh, abusive language directed against a person or cause.
Invective
A sharply mocking or contemptuous remark.

Sarcasm
In Comedy there are no villians and not innocent victims. Instead, there are rogues and suckers.
Knaves & Fools
A deliberate mispronunciation of a name or term with the intent of poking fun.
Malapropism
The use of humor to attack or ridicule something that is considered to be foolish, flawed, or wrong.
