10
Q

What happens when the predator or prey population increases?

A

When a predator population increases, prey populations decrease, then the
predators don’t have enough to eat and some die off. Then the prey
population increases and so on

Q

What are the 3 types of producers?

17
Q

What is a food web? What is the difference between a food web and a food chain?

18
Q

What percent of energy consumed is used for health?

19
Q

What is a pyrmaid of numbers?

A

Pyrmaid of numbers show the number of organisms in each level of a food chain or food web.

20
Q

Why are there fewer species further up the pyramid of numbers?

21
Q

What is a closed system? What is a cycle?

A

Closed system: When matter doesn’t leave a system.

22
Q

Who is the cleanup squad?

23
Q

What does it mean if an ecosystem is sustainable?

24
Q

What is the carbon cycle? What is the water cycle?

A

Carbon cycle: The carbon cycle is when plants take in carbon dioxide. Next, animals eat
the plants and produce carbon dioxide while they’re processing the food,
they release carbon dioxide by breathing out. After that, organisms die and
release carbon dioxide with the help of decomposers and they release
carbon. When the carbon in the ground starts to build up, this creates fossil
fuels and humans burn that to create more carbon dioxide and the cycle
repeats

25
What is succession? What is primary succession? What is secondary succession?
Primary succession: Species and organisms moving into an ecosystem or environment. Secondary succession: Species and organisms moving into an already existing ecosystem or environment.
26
What does a healthy ecosystem need?
27
What is biodiversity? Can human actions affect it? Why is it important to an ecosystem?
28
What is an endangered species? What is an extinct species?
29
How is habitat loss caused? How can it influence species?
30
What is an invasive species?
31
What is an ecological footprint?
a graph that shows how much land or how many resources someone has.
32
What is a steward? What does it stand for?
33
What is traditional knowledge? How can we use them to conserve our planet?
