Endometriosis
painful intercourse, menstrual periods, and/or bowel movements; heavy menstrual bleeding; fatigue; nausea
Growth of endometrial cells outside of the uterus, usually in the abdominal cavity
Dysmenorrhea
Painful menstruation; cramps before and during period; nausea; headaches; dizziness
Vaginal Yeast Infection (Candidiasis)
vaginal rash; pain; discharge; iching; burning; swelling
Trichomoniasis
foul-smelling vaginal or penile discharge; genital itching; painful urination
Syphilis
Primary: painless sore on genitals, rectum, or mouth;
Secondary: rash, muscle aches, fever, swollen lymph nodes;
latent: no symptoms
Tertiary: damage to brain, nerves, eyes, heart, and other organs, and death
Erectile Dysfunction
Lack of sexual desire; inability to attain or maintain an errection
Amenorrhea
complete absence of menstrual periods
Chlamydia
a STD that oftem causes no symptoms, but can damage the female reproductive tract and lead to infertility and increased risk or ectopic pregnancy
Genital Herpes
A STD that may cause blisters or sores in the genital or aal area or near the mouth; may have no symptoms
Gonorrhea
a STD that may cause pain during urination, unusual dischargs of fluid deom the vagina or penis, or no symptoms at all; can lead to infertility
Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
A STD that causes genital warts and can cause cervical cancer
Impotence
the inability of a male to maintain an erection
Infertility
the inability of a couple to get pregnant
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
An inflammation of the uterus, uterine tubes, ovaries and/or other organs of the peritoneal (abdominopelvic) cavity
Regenerative Medicine
A branch of medicine focused on repairing, replacinf, or regeneratinf cells, tissues, and organs that have been danaged by age, illness, or injury
Sexually Transmitted Infecion (STI)
an infections transmitted through secual contact
Stem Cells
Cells that have the potential to differentiate into various kids of cells when they divide
Uterine Fibroids
Benign tumors of the muscular layer of the uterus
Prostate Cancer
Cancer with the 2nd highest incidence amoung men; changes in urination
Testicular Cancer
Most common cancer in young men; swelling of a testicle
Uterine Cancer
Most common cancer of female reproductive TRACT, abnormal vaginal/uterine bleeding
Ovarian Cancer
Very vague/ no symptoms
Cervical Cancer
Abnormal vaginal bleeding/discharge, Pain during intercourse
Breast Cancer
lumps in breast
