-Although America’s economy directly benefits from the added force of undocumented immigrants into jobs (and more frequently those that pay at or below minimum wage), this solution is still likely to garner xenophobia and anti-immigration rhetoric because resources are distributed to all, reducing the chance of a socioeconomic “utopia” for American citizens
Current fearmongering by politicians and personal ties to immigration are among the most influential in one’s stance and it would be crucial to nationally debunk false claims of violence and job opportunity to effectively carry out effective undocumented immigration policy.
