What are stocks?
Stocks represent fractional ownership in a corporation, entitling shareholders to a portion of its profits and assets. They’re traded on exchanges, and their value fluctuates based on company performance, market conditions, and investor sentiment.
What are Exchange Traded Funds? (ETFs)
Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are investment vehicles that pool money from multiple investors to buy a diversified basket of assets, such as stocks, bonds, or commodities. Traded on stock exchanges like individual stocks, their value shifts throughout the day based on the performance of the underlying assets and market demand.
Define the term Bonds.
Bonds are debt securities issued by entities like governments or corporations to raise capital. When you buy a bond, you’re lending money to the issuer, who promises to repay the principal at a set maturity date and typically pays periodic interest (coupon payments). Their value can fluctuate based on interest rates and credit risk.
What are crypto coins about?
Crypto coins, or cryptocurrencies, are digital or virtual currencies secured by cryptography, operating on decentralized blockchain networks. They function as a medium of exchange or store of value, with prices driven by supply, demand, and market speculation. Unlike traditional currencies, they lack central authority oversight.
Define the meaning of CEX pairs.
CEX pairs refer to trading pairs on centralized exchanges (CEX), where one cryptocurrency or asset is swapped for another (e.g., BTC/USDT). These pairs indicate the base asset being traded and the quote asset used for pricing, with liquidity and volatility influenced by exchange volume and market dynamics.
What are DEX pairs?
DEX pairs are trading pairs on decentralized exchanges (DEX), where users swap one cryptocurrency for another (e.g., ETH/DAI) directly via smart contracts on a blockchain. Unlike centralized platforms, DEX pairs rely on liquidity pools, with prices determined by supply-demand ratios and automated market-making algorithms.
Define the term crypto pairs.
Hybrid movement
Crypto pairs are combinations of two cryptocurrencies traded against each other on an exchange (e.g., BTC/ETH), representing the relative value of one coin in terms of the other. They apply to both centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) platforms, with price movements driven by market activity and liquidity.
