A

The process by which a deceased loved one or a guide can physically manifest in our world, our vibration, using the power of the physical medium.

The special characteristics of physical phenomena is that the effects produced can be perceived throuhgt the physical senses of everyone present so that those who experience such phenomena can have no doubts. PUBLIC COULD EXPERIENCE IT

  • table tilting
  • percussion or raps - a man walking along the floor
  • telekinesis - movement of objects
  • apports and asports - form of a gift - flower can be taken from a vase
  • levitation - move of an object of human body
  • spirit photography - face or form of spirit on photo
  • automatic writing - hand of medium is controlled by spirit
  • cross correspondence - spirit controlled writing automatism done in trance state
  • evt - electronic voice -spirit use a sound source and imprint their voices even songs
  • itc - instrumental transcommunication - wdriting or images on tv or computer
  • ectoplasm - waste products of physical body and form a physical body of a spirit communicator (skin detritus, lymph, sputum)
  • materialisation - form of ectoplasma - forms from the belly of the medium
  • transfiguration - form of ectoplasma with red light

Q

Describe and give examples of the two different types of mental mediumship

What are the two headings of mental mediumship?

Explain the difference between the two headings?

A

perception & control (ACTIVE & PASSIVE) permitting spirit to control

perception: where the medium becomes aware of the communication spirit within their own mind and relays the information received to the recipient. The medium is using her senses such as feeling, seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and knowing.

control: often refer as trance mediumship. This is where the mind of the controlling spirit blends with the mind of the medium who is in a passive and receptive altered state of conciousness. The medium is willing to be used as the voice of the spirit communicators. To write, draw or paint.

Q

Explain why early forms of mediumship were of physical nature?

A
  • In the past mediums with physic abilities who could not show evidence were disbelieved and barished, imprisoned, murdered. evidence for communication was necessary.
  • Training and accreditation of the mediums is important. this is why exercise groups and training courses have been created - representative of the job.

-in the early days of mediumship, the existence of a mind, separate and very different from the human brain had not even been thought of. now we live in an age where the world ‘mind’ is commonplace.

Q

Explain the purpose and practice of attunement, sitting in the power and meditation within spiritual development and the difference between them.

A

All mediums requires to alter their level of conciousness, otherwise everyone could do it.

Sitting in the power - focus on building their own power to establish an ability to be able to be aware of communication from spirit world.

Meditation -mental practice to enhance personal levels of awareness and understanding of self and not to communicate with spirit world - for ourselves
