Give an example/explanation of a control system with no steady state tracking.

A

To track the Set Point the Steady State Gain of the whole system should be 1 (unity). That is Yk=Yd.

With a purely proportional controller the SSG will always be less than 1 so the output cannot ever achieve the Set Point.
