One of the foremost American designers in late 19th & 20th century; remembered for his brilliant stained glass lamps, windows & broaches
He predominantly used the ‘copper foil’ technique - when a piece of glass is wrapped with a strip of the foil to make sure there is material for the glass to adhere to when combining the pieces together to make the products

Inspired by graphic disorder of nature/ flowers/ foliage and quickly became known for his unique and organic designs
